Clayton Collins
Clayton Collins is responsible for the Christian Science Monitor’s web and print features editorial direction, supervising several sub-editors and collaborating with other senior editors on cover stories and news coverage.
Except for a four-year stint in custom publishing, where he worked on contract magazine launches for corporate clients as a senior editor and writer from the mid-to-late 1990s, Collins has served as a full-time editor and writer for The Christian Science Monitor since his graduation in 1985 from the Newhouse School at Syracuse University.
He has served as the Middle East editor, deputy foreign editor, personal finance editor, features editor, profiles editor, features writer (Weekend section, primarily, covering subcultures), and automotive writer. He also worked as an editor of the print weekly edition of the Monitor since the period of prototyping before its launch in the spring of 2009.
