Jeff Bergin
Jeff Bergin has been in the media business since 1983, all of it on the business side.
His early experience was in classified and retail advertising sales at small and mid sized newspapers in Massachusetts and New Jersey. He moved into Sales Management in 1989 when he joined the Gannett Media Company.
At Gannett, Bergin ran the ad department at The News-Press in Fort Myers, Florida during most of the 90's. He eventually moved to Gannett Corporate headquarters in DC in 2002, where he was responsible for corporate-wide implementation of print and digital initiatives, focusing on the retail advertising departments.
In 2009 Bergin joined Hearst Media in San Francisco where he is responsible for revenue generation across the web and print. As a member of the operating committee of the local unit, Bergin’s primary responsibility involves crafting and implementing strategies to overcome external and internal challenges to generate increased revenue flow and long-term growth.
Hearst Media’s primary products are The San Francisco Chronicle, sfgate.com, and Digital Marketing Services.
