John DeAugustine
John DeAugustine is currently the Publisher at the Connecticut Post. He joined the Connecticut Post from the Times Union in Albany, New York, where he was responsible for the sale and distribution of all of the Times Union’s products. As the cirulation director for the Times Union, John was able to take a leading roll in transforming the Times Union from a traditional newspaper focused on the core product to one that diversifies its revenue by delivering a combination of 18 different daily, weekly, monthly and annual publications. Before starting at the Times Union in 2005 John was the vice president of circulation at the York Newspaper Company where his responsibilities included the sale and distribution of the York Daily Record, York Dispatch, Hanover Sun and Lebanon Daily News. John started his newspaper career at the Tribune Review Publishing Company in Southwestern Pennsylvania at the age of 19 while still in college at the University of Pittsburgh. While serving in a number of different positions during his time at the Tribune Review, the newspaper grew from 80,000 circulation to 180,000 circulation and the company acquired seven additional newspapers. John serves on a number of charitable and industry boards including the Red Cross of Northeastern New York and the New York State Circulation Managers Association. John’s primary hobbies include boating, fishing and landscaping.
