Marco Boselli
Marco Boselli has been editor-in-chief of the newspaper 20 Minutes since the spring of 2003, after Tamedia AG in Switzerland purchased the paper from the Norwegian publishing house Schibsted. Prior to that Boselli was editor-in-chief of the Express project, which was aimed at securing the purchase of 20 Minutes.
Since 2003, Boselli has been responsible for the expansion of 20 Minutes, overseeing 60 subordinates. The paper has grown from three to seven regional editions, with 1,417 million readers in Switzerland. This makes 20 Minutes the largest newspaper in Switzerland, with a reach of nearly 30 percent.
Prior to the Express project, Boselli was CEO of a Tamedia Website called Partnerwinner.ch, which was part of a classified online-strategy. He was responsible for all commercial issues.
Boselli also served as deputy editor-in-chief of SonntagsBlick, Ringier, which at the time was the largest daily Sunday newspaper in Switzerland. From 1987-1990, he was employed by the Swiss tabloid newspaper, Blick as a reporter and deputy news desk editor, among other positions.
A native of Milan, Italy, Boselli’s education includes studies in literature and journalism. He attended UCLA from 1990-1992, when he was stationed in Los Angeles for a German press bureau of Ringier. He is fluent in German, French, Italian, and English.
