Megan Cunningham founded Magnet Media, a leading interactive media company and the video production company behind Zoom In Online (ZIO), an online content network providing daily news coverage of contemporary arts, culture, entertainment and technology through podcasts, blogs, and Internet and mobile video.

The content is produced independently but supported through advertising and sponsorship by many of the world’s largest technology and entertainment companies, including Apple, Adobe, Microsoft, HP, Sony, and Sundance. ZIO Pro –the B2B premium area within the site, designed for professionals– is used by the world's largest media companies and freelance creative professionals to stay abreast of changing entertainment industry and technology trends.

Cunningham has been a speaker and taught seminars, workshops and panels at industry events, including The MacArthur Foundation’s Producers Institute, The Wharton School of Business' Entrepreneurs Conference, DV Expo, the Independent Feature Market, and the National Association of Broadcaster's convention.

A member of the Television Academy of Arts and Sciences, Cunningham has served on the board of directors of New York Women in Film and Television, and is a graduate of Swarthmore College. Her first book, The Art of the Documentary (featuring interviews with Albert Maysles, Ken Burns, Errol Morris, DA Pennebaker and others) was published by Peachpit Press/New Riders a division of Pearson Publishing.
