Nels Jensen
Nels Jensen is the Director of the Interactive/Business Development department of The Press-Enterprise, the leading information company in Inland Southern California with daily newspaper circulation of about 175,000 and more than 650,000 monthly web site visitors. He oversees a new department created to leverage content from a variety of sources and media partners to rejuvenate existing products and launch new niche products. Jensen works with News, Sales, Marketing and Distribution. Jensen was a member of the Belo Corp.’s initial Emerging Talent class for management development and was a participant in the second ASNE/NAA Diversity Summit. His previous newsroom positions with The Press-Enterprise were Director of Internet Strategy and Content Development, Deputy Managing Editor and Sports Editor. Prior to joining The Press-Enterprise he worked in sports at The Dallas Morning News, the Austin American-Statesman and The Boca Raton News. Jensen graduated from Northwestern University with a degree in Journalism. He lives in Temecula, Calif., with his wife and two children, is president of his church and is a Scout leader.
