Peter Doucette

As executive director of circulation sales & marketing, Peter Doucette is responsible for all consumer-facing aspects of circulation and audience development. This includes sales and marketing, consumer strategy, CRM, pricing, and customer loyalty as well as the associated revenue streams and expenses. Mr. Doucette is a member of the Globe’s senior management team. Peter joined The Boston Globe in 2007 and has served in a number of roles in the circulation department. Prior to his present role, Mr. Doucette was director of circulation marketing, where he was the architect for a premium-focused circulation strategy, a critical component in the financial turnaround of The Boston Globe in 2009. Prior to that, Peter was the director of home delivery and single copy circulation, where he was responsible for growing revenue for the Globe’s home delivery business, maximizing newsstand sales and profitability, as well as increasing consumer satisfaction and engagement. Before that, Mr. Doucette was the director of acquisition marketing, where he developed direct marketing campaigns targeting new Globe subscribers. Previously, Peter served as Vice President of Consumer Marketing at Grand Circle Corporation, a leading travel operator for senior Americans travelling abroad, where his responsibilities included consumer strategy, pricing, product marketing. Mr. Doucette also worked as an actuarial analyst for the consulting firm Tillinghast-Towers Perrin (now Towers Watson) where he assisted property and casualty clients develop loss reserve models to forecast future insurance claims and losses. Peter also served as a Lieutenant in the U.S. Navy, where we was the disbursing/assistant supply officer on both the USS Gridley CG-21 and USS Fitzgerald DDG-62 members of the third fleet based out of San Diego, CA. Peter is a graduate of the University of Notre Dame, with a BBA in Finance. He and his wife Kristin have two children, Mac and Kate.
