Soraya Gage

Soraya Gage is a 20-year veteran of NBC News and now serves as executive producer of NBC Learn – the education arm of NBC – after serving as its senior editorial producer since 2006.

In her role, Gage has overseen the content production for three websites, including NBC Archives on Demand, iCue, and What’s Your iCue?, a Facebook application. She also oversees production of original content for the site including more than 300 original mini-documentaries about U.S. History produced for the websites.

From her first job as a NBC page, Gage has worked on several major network broadcasts, including NBC News at Sunrise, TODAY, NBC Nightly News, and Dateline NBC. She has produced long-form programming, breaking newscasts, investigative journalism, and high profile newsmaker interviews. From 1993 until 2006, Gage worked on Dateline NBC in the role of producer and senior producer and produced long-form documentaries with NBC anchor Tom Brokaw for five years.

Gage also produced breaking news segments for many major news events for 15 years, earning an Emmy award, five Emmy nominations, an Edward R. Murrow Award, two Cine Golden Eagles, four National Headliner awards, a Prism Award, two Sigma Delta Chi Awards, Finalist placement for the Nancy Dickerson Whitehead Award, and the Award of Excellence from Mothers Against Drunk Driving.

A graduate of Trinity College in Hartford, Connecticut with a B.A. in Art History, Gage also received her M.S. in journalism with honors from the Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism where she received the Livingston Award for outstanding broadcast journalism.
