Torrey Oberfest
Torrey Oberfest is Associate Director of Strategic Planning at Hachette Book Group. She is responsible for leading strategic initiatives and supporting the development of new businesses. She also oversees analytics and research, reporting upon trends, benchmarking against competitors, and supplying market research data.
Prior to her role in Strategic Planning, Torrey was Managing Editor of Bulfinch Press, the illustrated book division of Hachette Book Group, which published art, photography, cooking, design, and popular culture books. Hachette Book Group is a leading trade publisher based in New York and a division of Hachette Livre, the second-largest publisher in the world. In one year, HBG publishes approximately 650 adult books, 125 young adult and children’s books, and 100 audio book titles. Bestselling authors published by Hachette include James Patterson, Nicholas Sparks, Malcolm Gladwell, Christopher Hitchens, Stephenie Meyer, Jane Goodall, Stacy Schiff, Joel Osteen, Michael Moore, and David Foster Wallace.
